Mountain Prayer Flags

Made of 100% recycled polyester with nylon string and printed with dye sublimation dyes which are fade resistant and durable in the weather. Each flag has a different prayer on it, coupled with a mountain peak from central Oregon. Each individual flag measures approximately 7"x7'. The flags stretch approximately 37" with additional string on each side. The total string length is roughly 90" or 7.5'. (they can vary by a few inches) For more about the artwork: cadajohnson

The Oregon Cascade mountains became my muse in August of 2021. I fell in love with these peaks in ways I could never have imagined before starting the project. These specific 5 mountain peaks are located outside of Bend Oregon and their position on the flags represents how one could see them lined up from south to north if you were in Bend looking west.

Here are the prayers:

May we be grounded, serene and

solid in the face of adversity.

May we stand in peaceful communion

with our neighbors.

May we be consistent, reliable

and steadfast.

May our beauty and grace inspire

peace and tranquility.

May we have our head in the clouds

and remain firmly rooted

simultaneously.

May we inspire others to reach for

their highest goals.

May we be still and let the winds of

change sculpt us into pinnacles

of beauty.

May we rise above current

circumstances to seek a fresh

perspective.

May we be patient and calm and

allow change to happen

in its own season.

May others feel freedom in our presence.
